Snakewood is an exotic wood harvested from a small, relatively rare tree found in the forests of Central and South America. Initially deep red in color, snakewood changes its stripes (so to speak) upon being exposed to air, which makes the wood eventually turn reddish brown. An extremely dense hardwood, snakewood is quite challenging to work with.
Red Oak features a coarse grain and has a light to medium reddish-brown color, though there can be a fair amount of variation in color.
I make custom rings tailored to your size (size 4 to 13 and from 3mm to 10mm wide). I can also interchange different types of woods and/or stones.
For reference, the pictured ring is a size 11 and 5mm wide.
You can order the right sized ring by getting professionally sized by a jeweller. Make sure to ask to be sized with a ring sizer that is the same width as the ring you intend to order because wide rings fit more tightly than narrow rings.
I offer a free ring sizer with any ring purchased from the shop. It will take 3 to 8 business days for the sizer to arrive to you. If you need a sizer, please request it at checkout or send me a personal message.
I welcome custom orders! Feel free to contact me with your ideas. We can discuss what you're looking for and make your dream ring come to life.

WoodringStudio rings are created to endure the journeys of their owners. I make rings using a technique that creates strong and beautiful wood rings. At the same time I use smaller amounts of wood when making each ring. I coat the wood rings with layers of proprietary durable waterproof acrylic finish. Days of production goes into each ring. The end result is a strong and beautiful wood ring with a satin smooth finish and feel.
